BANDAI SPIRITSから発売されている「スター・ウォーズ」プラモデルシリーズに描かれた「箱絵」をまとめたイラスト集、『スター・ウォーズ天神英貴　ボックスアート・コレクション』を光文社より4月22日（水）に発売する予定です。Amazonで事前予約も開始しています。

緻密なメカニカルアートの第一人者で、｢マクロス」シリーズや「ガンダム」シリーズのイラストも手がける天神英貴氏が描いた「スター・ウォーズ」の世界観を堪能できる一冊。
内容は『スター・ウォーズ　エピソード１／ファントム・メナス』から、劇場最新作『スター・ウォーズ／スカイウォーカーの夜明け』までの９作品と、スピンオフ作品である『ローグ・ワン／スター・ウォーズ・ストーリー』『ハン・ソロ／スター・ウォーズ・ストーリー』の２作品を含めた箱絵６０点以上を収録。

This artbook gathers the “Box Art” illustrations by Hidetaka Tenjin for the “Star Wars” plastic model series released by BANDAI SPIRITS.
Hidetaka Tenjin is a modern-day master of elaborate mechanical art who is renowned for his many illustrations for popular animation series including “Super Dimension Fortress Macross” and “Mobile Suit Gundam.” In this artbook, Hidetaka Tenjin shows his own perspective of the “Star Wars” series.
Contained herein are over 60 pieces of box art from the nine Star Wars films starting with “Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace,” to the latest entry, “Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker” as well as from the two spin-off movies “ROGUE ONE: A STAR WARS STORY” and “Solo: A Star Wars Story”

天神英貴（てんじんひでたか）
イラストレーター業を中心に、デザイナー、イメージボードアーティストとして活動。ハセガワの「マクロス」シリーズ、BANDAI SPIRITS のガンダムを始めとするMG（マスターグレード）シリーズのプラモデルのボックスアートを描く。
また、アニメ『マクロスゼロ』、『マクロスF』、『創聖のアクエリオン』のメカニックアート、『ヘルシング』『マクロスΔ』『ナイツ&マジック』ではメカニカルデザイン、フルCG映画『聖闘士星矢 LEGEND of SANCTUARY』イメージボードなど、アニメーションの分野でも活躍している。CGによる表現でありながらもアナログ的なブラシ感を意識的に表現することで画面に物語性を描くことを重視。分野を問わず多くの作品を制作している。

Mechanical Illustrator and Designer, Hidetaka Tenjin, began drawing at the age of three, and has since become a renowned professional artist in Japan’s anime production and plastic model kit industry.
His art style brings a breathtaking realism to some of anime’s most iconic mecha properties, among them, most notably, The Super Dimension Fortress Macross and its many sequels.
BANDAI SPIRITS and HASEGAWA, two of Japan’s top model kit manufacturers, routinely work with Tenjin and showcase his artwork on their retail products, such as the wildly popular Master Grade Gundam model kit series.
