アンコールワットに代表される壮大な歴史遺産だけでなく、温かな人々と豊かな文化で知られる国、

カンボジア。2015年の開始以来、多くのパートナーの皆様に支えられ着実に歩みを進めてきた

「カンボジアフェスティバル」は、今年、記念すべき第10回目を迎えます。

昨年は10万人の来場者を記録し、国内最大のカンボジア関連イベントへと成長しました。

アニバーサリーイヤーとなる今年は、例年以上にパワーアップした内容で、カンボジアと日本の絆を

さらに深める特別な2日間をお届けします。

今年もカンボジアから芸能人を含む多くの方が来日する予定であり、カンボジア伝統舞踊などの多彩なステージプログラムがフェスティバルを盛り上げます。約70の出店ブースでは、日本ではまだまだ珍しいカンボジア料理や雑貨などの販売に加え、カンボジアに関わる企業やNGO、NPO団体などの活動も知っていただけます。

昨年の成功を受け、2024年にユネスコ世界無形文化遺産に登録された、カンボジアの伝統的な万能布「クロマー」を詳しく知り、体験いただける企画や、10周年の節目を祝し、これまでの感謝を込めた

特別企画を計画しています。

日本にいながらカンボジアの伝統、文化、そして現代社会を肌で感じることができる絶好の機会です。

Celebrating 10 Years: Announcing “Cambodia Festival 2026,” the Largest Cambodian

Cultural Event in Japan

Cambodia is a nation renowned not only for its magnificent historical heritage, such as Angkor Wat, but also for its warm-hearted people and rich cultural traditions.

Since its inception in 2015, the Cambodia Festival has grown steadily with the support of

many partners, and this year we are proud to celebrate its milestone 10th anniversary.

Last year, the festival welcomed approximately 100,000 visitors, establishing itself as the

largest Cambodia-related event in Japan. For this special anniversary celebration,

the program will be expanded to offer two extraordinary days designed to further strengthen

the bonds of friendship between Cambodia and Japan.

This year’s festival will welcome distinguished guests, including celebrities from Cambodia.

A wide range of stage performances, such as traditional Cambodian dance, will energize the

celebration. With around 70 exhibition booths, visitors will be able to enjoy authentic

Cambodian cuisine and unique products rarely found in Japan, while learning about the

activities of companies, NGOs, and organizations connected to Cambodia.

Building on last year’s success, special programs will also introduce visitors to Krama,

the traditional Cambodian multi-purpose cloth recognized as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural

Heritage of Humanity in 2024. In addition, to commemorate the festival’s 10th anniversary, special projects are being prepared to express gratitude for a decade of support. Visitors will

have the opportunity to experience Cambodia’s traditions, culture, and contemporary society—right here in Japan.

■ Purpose: To promote mutual understanding and cultural exchange between Cambodia and Japan through the introduction of traditional culture, World Heritage sites, and Khmer cuisine.

■ Main Event Highlights:

・Approximately 70 booths featuring Cambodian restaurants, craft shops,

　corporate exhibitors, and NGOs

・Traditional Cambodian dance and musical performances by Cambodian artists
